The San Francisco *Half* Marathon.

For some, a race. A challenge. A chance to make a PR.

For me, this was my first run as a “runner.”

4+ years ago when I started this running business, I did NOT consider myself a runner (in fact, I posted blog entries under the name of “NonRunner”). I had no idea what I was getting myself into, but I signed up for a half marathon anyway. I remember that it was challenging – even just to go beyond 2 miles at first was brutal. In the end, the slow pace that I chose for myself really worked in my favor. I surprised myself by being able to complete runs that were much longer than 2 miles, and by running in all sorts of conditions – snow, even. My pace hasn’t really changed much since then, but now I have a regular running schedule, fair weather, and occasional running companions to keep me company. My running situation has gotten exponentially better, so I want to celebrate that.

This space is where I mostly reflect on running and cross training. When I’m not running, I write about fashion, food and life in the San Francisco bay area. I hope you enjoy this blog, and if you feel inspired, please comment! I’d love to hear from you.
